On July 1st, 2006 Heartland officially expanded regionally in SE Asia, setting roots at Jurong Country Club in Singapore. After 8 years of "Growing the Game of Golf in Asia" through his locations in Thailand, USPGA Professional Tony Meechai was elated when the opportunity came up to share the Principle Oriented Natural Curriculum with golfers of Singapore.
Born in 1995, Heartland Golf Schools originated in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Founder, Ed LeBeau, implemented his vision to make learning golf easy and make it accessible to all. Using the teachings of Manuel de la Torre, Mr. Lebeau created a golf learning process that has been recognized by many. Heartland's concept is to go to the "heart" of the student and have them learn golf the simple way.
Heartland Golf Co. (Thailand) was created at the Springfield Village Golf & Spa in Cha-Am, Thailand. Pro Tony Meechai, a USPGA Professional and Heartland Instructor, embarked on a dream to make learning golf a reality for everyone in Thailand. Heartland Golf Schools is now one of Asia's leading golf educational institutions having grown to include a professional staff of over 40 instructors. On top of the Singapore location at Jurong Country Club, Heartland currently has nine locations in Thailand and is proud to now be serving many international customers.
Your golf swing is like your signature, it is unique and there is no reason to copy that of anyone else. Based on the teachings of Manuel de la Torre and Ed LeBeau, our "principle oriented" Natural Curriculum is based on the knowledge that ANYONE can learn to play golf. After years of research and touching the lives of thousands of new and experienced golfers, the formula is working. The movements of the golf swing are very similar to the Natural movements one makes in other sports andin every day activities. Essentially, if you can bounce a ball and throw a bucket of water, you have all the tools needed for building an effective golf swing. The Natural Curriculum not only makes golf easy to learn, but makes it extremely fun as well!
Our teaching conveys the universal principles that produce optimal control and distance. Further, our teachings recognize that while these principles are universal and apply to every shot and every club, our teachings also recognize the individuality of each golfer. Our teachings propose that while each golfer will be well-served to understand these universal principles describe precisely "what" the club must do during the swing, they do not presume to know or teach "how" the player's body will best achieve them. While golfers body's are generally more similar to one another than they are different, each golfer is unique and should be allowed to comply with the universal principles in what ever way best suits them.
Heartland's service to the golfers is to teach the principles and then to help the golfer to discover the best way for them to comply with the principles.
